More Than a Pottery Shop.
We're Collectors Too.
Watt-Pottery.com grew from years of collecting, learning, searching, buying, selling, and simply enjoying the pottery that has found a place in American kitchens and collections for generations.
For us, Watt Pottery has never been just something to buy and sell. Every piece has a history, and every collector has a reason that particular piece matters.
Pitcher
The Piece That Started It
Our interest in Watt Pottery began long before buying collectibles online became commonplace.
It started with a simple family piece — a pitcher that had quietly sat in a cabinet for years. One day while we were out antiquing, we came across the same pitcher with a price tag that made us look at the piece back home very differently.
That discovery started something. We began looking, learning, searching antique shops, and paying much closer attention whenever Watt Pottery appeared. Collecting gradually became much more than a casual interest.
What Years of Collecting Taught Us
Experience with Watt Pottery comes from handling the pieces, studying them, making mistakes, and continuing to learn.
Authenticity Matters
We have spent years studying genuine Watt Pottery as well as reproductions. We have even purchased reproductions deliberately so we could examine the differences firsthand. That knowledge helps guide the pottery we offer today.
Condition Matters
A small glaze issue, hairline, chip, repair, crazing, or staining can matter to a collector. We believe those details should be looked for carefully and described as clearly as possible.
The Story Matters
Collectors aren't simply filling shelves. Sometimes they're replacing a family piece, finishing a set, searching for a rare pattern, or preserving something that reminds them of another time.
The Hunt Is Still Part of the Fun
Over the years, many of our trips have become part vacation and part treasure hunt. Antique shops, flea markets, estate sales, and unexpected stops have all been part of collecting.
Most stops don't produce a great Watt find. Then once in a while, there it is — a piece you weren't expecting to see. Those discoveries are still part of what makes collecting enjoyable for us.
Why We Built Watt-Pottery.com
The site began as a way to offer authentic vintage Watt Pottery to other collectors, but it has grown into something larger.
We want Watt-Pottery.com to be useful whether you're shopping for a piece, trying to identify pottery you already own, researching a pattern or mold number, learning about values, or deciding what to do with a collection that took years to build.
That is why the site combines pottery for sale with collector reference information, value guides, collection services, and new ways for collectors to discover pieces.
Arrived Safely Our pottery shipping record to date.
We Know What It's Like to Open That Box
We've experienced the excitement of waiting for a piece we've wanted — and we've also experienced the disappointment of opening a package and finding that pottery did not survive the trip.
We never want one of our customers to have that experience with a piece we shipped.
Every order is carefully wrapped, cushioned, and packed with pottery in mind. We would rather use a little more time and packing material than take an unnecessary risk with a collector's purchase.
To date, every pottery piece we have shipped has arrived safely.
We intend to keep it that way.
